Binghamton Psychiatric Center (BPC) provides comprehensive outpatient and inpatient services for individuals who are seriously mentally ill. BPC is a teaching and learning institution which provides many opportunities for Clinical Internships to a variety of students training for professional careers in social work, psychology, nursing, therapeutic recreation, dietary, and health information management. Affiliated with Columbia University through the Geriatric Fellowship Program, BPC provides a "training ground" for psychiatric residents to gain experience in diagnosis, treatment, research methods and general clinical skills.
Binghamton Psychiatric Center's mission is "Partners in Recovery." In partnership with patients, families, and community providers, BPC promotes the recovery of people with serious mental illnesses by offering comprehensive, quality psychiatric rehabilitation and treatment services.
