Merritt Estate Winery was the first farm winery organized in Chautauqua County under regulations signed by Governor Carey in 1976. The original homestead has been in the family since the late 1800's. The Winery is open all year, offering free tours and tastings from 10:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Saturday, and from 12:00pm to 5:00pm Sunday. Group tours are welcome by special arrangement. Visitors are welcome to tour the facilities and surrounding vineyards, and enjoy a glass of fine wine i n the Hospitality Room.
