Located in the foothills of the Adirondacks, Crystal Grove's wooded campground is adjacent to the Herkimer diamond mines. The facilities provided include water and electric sites, tent sites, cabins, fire rings and picnic tables on each site, dumping station, modern rest rooms, free hot showers, ice-firewood, snacks, gift and rock shop, playground, horseshoe pit, volleyball, basketball and ping pong. Mining for diamonds is a major activity.
