The museum is in the historic building combining the Town Hall and Opera House. Turn-of-the-century Clayton is reflected at the renovated museum, featuring Main Street, c1880. The museum displays 1000 Islands history and memorabilia. In the same building is the Muskie & Duck Exhibit with a replica of the largest Muskie ever caught, landed a few miles from Clayton. The museum hosts a variety of special events each year. The Opera House features theatrical productions, including plays and variety shows.
