Bluffton is located in northwestern Ohio in northeastern Allen County about 60 miles south-southwest of Toledo along along [i75] 15 miles northeast of [lima]. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 3,820, an increase of 453 since 1990. The area near Riley Creek was first settled in 1832 by a variety of European cultures. Today, the community can be characterized by slow-paced living in a clean and well-groomed, tree-lined town.
