Carrollton is located in Carroll County (of which it is the county seat) about 70 miles south-southeast of Cleveland and 20 miles southeast of Canton along Highway 43. Nearby attractions include the McCook House State Memorial. Outdoor recreation is usually centered around Atwood Lake, about 8 miles west of town, and Leesville Lake, about 8 miles to the southwest. Golfers will enjoy their outing to Carroll Meadows Golf Course on Meadowbrook Lane.
