Since its formation in 1865, the Lima Fire Department has provided basic fire fighting and safety services. The Lima Fire Fighters Memorial Museum is an independent organization which derives its funding from private individuals and organizations. The museum was built to capture and preserve the history of the department and the people who made it possible.
