Longaberger Golf Club is a public 18-hole, par 72, demanding 7,250-yard course located in east central Ohio in western Muskingum County near Dillon Lake.
This is one tough course from the back Black tees as it carries a rating of 75.2 and a slope of 138. Four par 4 holes average 466 yards. The 13th, in fact, is 480 yards long. Most of the fairways are slanted one way or another and the greens are slick and hard to hold.
The course was built by the Longaberger Company, a direct-sales company that makes handcrafted baskets. As all 21,000 tee times have been gobbled up by May on a course open from April through early November, the company was set to open a sister course in 2003 (the name of the course was not available at this writing).
Kudos for the course: Golf & Travel Magazine ranked it 23rd in its list of the top 40 daily fee courses in the country and Golf Magazine
included it among "The Top Ten You Can Play" in its March 2000 issue.
