The Fort Hamilton Hospital celebrated its 75th anniversary on May 1, 2004. The 108-bed hospital that opened its doors on May 1, 1929, was a far cry from the state-of-the-art facility The Fort Hamilton Hospital has become today. The hospital is now licensed for 307 beds and offers cutting edge technology. In the last three years, Fort Hamilton has invested $32.2 million in the latest equipment and expansions needed to keep up with its rapidly increasing patient volume.
