The river begins its journey traveling in a northeasterly direction for about 15 miles before heading east-southeast at a point about 5 miles northwest of [kenton]. It passes through or near the towns of LaRue and Green Camp where it is joined by the Little Scioto River about 5 miles southwest of [marion].

From there the Scioto heads south to flow through [columbus]'s west side and turning east in the city to meet the [olentari]. Upon leaving Columbus the river flows by or through S. Boomfield/Ashville, [circlevi], [chillico],[waverly] and [piketon] before emptying into the [ohiorive] on [portsmou]'s west side. CODE left
