Tiffin is located in northern Ohio in Seneca County (of which it is the county seat) 40 miles southeast of Toledo on the banks of the Sandusky River. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 18,007, a decrease of 597 since 1990. For those seeking higher education, the city is home to Tiffin University and Heidelberg University. Golfers have a choice of Clinton Heights Golf Course and Seneca Hills Golf Course, public 18-hole courses and Mohawk Golf Club, a private facility offering members of other clubs a chance to play their 18-hole layout.
