This 30-acre zoo houses more than 525 species of mammals, birds and reptiles. The African Savanna area features animals in a natural looking habitat and the Kingdom of the Apes is a 17,000 foot gorilla meadow with an interpretive center that offers hands-on exhibits. The zoo also has a large freshwater and saltwater aquarium and a conservatory and botanical garden. The Hippoaquarium features an underwater view of a hippopotamus family.
