Founded in 1909, this publicly funded institution offers undergraduate programs in liberal arts and sciences, education, business, and health-related fields. There are thirty-two baccalaureate degrees in four undergraduate schools and seven masters degrees in a single graduate school. The University enrolls over 4,400 students.
The 140-acre campus is located in Ada, a small town about 90 miles southeast of Oklahoma City in Pontotoc County. Including residence halls, there are 28 buildings on the site.
Active fraternities, sororities and over 20 clubs and organizations are at a student's beck and call. Campus tours are available through the admissions office.
