Foss Lake is located 12 miles west of Clinton in Custer County in west central Oklahoma on Hwy 73, two miles north on Hwy 44 and about 7 miles north of in west central Oklahoma on Hwy 73, two miles north on Hwy 44 and about 7 miles north of [i-40]. The 8,800-acre lake has 63 miles of shoreline and is fed by the [washitri] which is contained behind the world's largest earthen dam.
