Lake Thunderbird State Park is located in central Oklahoma in Cleveland County 15 miles east of Interstate 35 on SR 9 about 9 miles east of Norman.
The 1,900-acre facility is on the northern shores of 6,000-acre Lake Thunderbird which houses a marina, complete with rentals and a gift shop. It also has a swimming beach.
The park has about 450 campsites with electric and water hookups, tent sites, eight lake huts, restrooms/showers, dump stations, picnic areas, group shelters, horse stables, nature center, restaurant and hiking/biking/nature trails.
In-season deer (bow) and waterfowl (shotgun) is allowed. Open year round.
