This 1,200-acre park is located in eastern Oklahoma in Le Flore County two miles south of Wister and U.S. Highway 270 on the eastern shores of Lake Wister. It boasts a dramatic backdrop of dogwood, spruce and ponderosa pine and offers some of the finest fishing and hunting in Oklahoma. The 4,000-acre lake and 2,000 acres of Waterfowl Refuge provide visitors with an array of recreational activities.

The park is outfitted with 15 cabins (some with fireplaces), five camping areas, 182 campsites. There is an assigned campground, a group camp with a capacity of 100 campers. Its amenities and activities include hiking, biking and nature trails; a swimming beach and pool; boating; waterskiing; bicycle rentals; and a restaurant, grocery store and gift shop.
