Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College was established in 1919 and is located in Miami, Ottawa County near the Kansas and Missouri borders. The 140-acre campus contains seven residence halls and four apartment complexes housing more than 1,200 students making it the largest residential-based community college in the state. It has an open door policy meaning anyone with any GPA or ACT will be admitted to the college. They offer college prep courses and honors curricula, in additon to general interest classes. Academic scholarships are available to those who have an ACT combined score of 24 or better while being in the top 25% of the student's high school graduating class. Men's sports include Football, Basketball, Baseball and Golf (non-scholarship) while women compete in Volleyball, Basketball and Softball.
