Established in 1899, the official state Museum of Natural History is housed in a 195,000-square-foot building and features six exhibiting galleries and a discovery room containing over five million pieces of Oklahoma history dating back 300 million years. Exhibit titles include Ancient Life; Natural Wonders; People of Oklahoma; Brown Special Exhibitions Gallery; World Cultures Gallery and Pleistocene Plaza.
Open Tuesday -Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. (Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day)
Admission (subject to change): $4 adults; $3 seniors (age 65 and up); $2 children (ages 6-17); Children 5 and under free.
