Spring River

Search Visit Oklahoma

The Spring River rises in Kansas and flows southward into Ottawa County in northeast Oklahoma emptying into the Grand (Neosho) River near Wyandotte. The river is the centerpiece of Spring River Canoe Trails State Park and Twin Bridges State Park.

The Spring is said to be the unofficial western boundary of the Hornet "Spooklight" in western Missouri/northeast Oklahoma--a "supernatural" phenomenon some have witnessed along Oklahoma's E 40 and E 50 roads.
