St. Gregory's University is a four-year institution of higher learning located in Shawnee southeast of Oklahoma City in Pottawatomie County and is affiliated with the Catholic Church in the Benedictine tradition. Their philosophy may be summed up thusly: "Benedictine valueSilence; We commit ourselves to be silent so as to listen to the voice of God. 'Monks should diligently cultivate silence at all times.' Rule of Benedict 42".
The academic shedule for the first two years is similar to that of most other univerities--comprehensive. The final two years the focus narrows to the point where job-specific courses emerge to shape the student's future. In addition, the "Adults Completing Education" program helps students obtain their bachelor's degree according to their own flexible schedule.
St Gregory's also offers coursework through Microsoft's MSCE/MCSA, CompTia A+ and Network+ certifications.
