Valliant is located in southeastern Oklahoma in southwest McCurtain County along U.S. Highway 70 about 10 statute miles south of Pine Creek Lake and 5 miles north of the Red River near the Texas border. Nearby recreation can be found at Raymond Gary State Park, about 10 miles to the west, and Hugo Lake, about 20 miles west of town. In addition, historic Fort Towson Military Park is open for touring.
