Among the points of interest at this 4 1/2-acre historic site are the restored St. Mary Magdalene Church, built in 1853, which now houses the Prince Edward County Museum; the restored 1830s Macaulay House, gardens and carriage house; and the Parish Cemetery. This community facility interprets the history and heritage of the influential Reverend William Macaulay and family, as well as Prince Edward County. The site is host to many social and community events, and educational programs which center around the preserved buildings, and the architectural legacy which survives here. Group tours are led by costumed volunteers, and cream teas are available at Macaulay House. The Heritage Park is connected to the nearby Macaulay Mountain Conservation Authority and Birdhouse City by the Whattam's Memorial Walkway. Picnic facilities are also located on the grounds; closed Tuesdays.
