Search Mississauga Ontario

The fastest growing city in Canada and the sixth largest. Settlers were attracted to the area in the 19th century by rich farmlands along the Credit River. Between 1968 and 1974, eight towns joined together to form the metropolis of Mississauga. The city is known for its colorful architecture and cultural offerings. They include performing and visual arts, a symphony orchestra, an opera, a choir and choral society, dinner theaters, art galleries, numerous parks, and scenic gardens. Sporting enthusiasts can enjoy professional hockey, ice skating and tobogganing, cross-country skiing, hiking and bicycling on nature trails, and sports fishing on Lake Ontario.
