Ruthven Park was the former home of the Thompson family who owned the site from the 1840's until 1993. Originally a country estate and working farm, the property now consists of approximately 1,500 acres and overlooks the banks of the Grand River, today a Canadian Heritage River. The Park is open to the public at scheduled hours for the enjoyment of those who have an appreciation and interest in history and historic buildings, nature, scenic beauty or just relaxing and enjoying a quiet environment.
