The Alpha-Bit Restaraunt is located in Mapleton where Highway 126 and Highway 36 meet, just over an hour's drive west of Eugene and 14 miles inland from the coastal town of Florence. This home grown restaraunt/bookshop/gift store is associated with the Alpha Farm which is based in the area. Much of the food served in the restaraunt is grown on the Alpha Farm. Alpha Farm is an intentional community about 30 years old, and is indeed one of the oldest, if not the oldest "Intentional Community" in Oregon.
