Eugene's largest developed park. Owned by the City of Eugene. The park is made up of two major areas, the more developed West Alton Baker Park, and the 237-acre Whilamut Natural Area of East Alton Baker Park.
Location: Under the Ferry Street Bridge along the Willamette River.
Special Features: A 4-Acre Off-leash dog park behind Autzen Stadium, European inspired running path, Bike Path, Canoeing, Group Picnic Shelters, Toilets, hiking, Disabled access and fishing.
Ken Nielsen Gardens
A 20-acre site on the north bank of the Willamette River at the west end of the park offers scenic riverbank space and recreational opportunities for large numbers of people. There is parking for 250 cars, a one and a half acre pond, extensive walkways, plazas, sculptures, and stabilized waterway shorelines. An alpine rock garden is situated near the parking lot.
Lane ESD Planetarium and The Science Factory
10,000 square foot building includes a 128-seat planetarium and 2,000 square foot display space for a Science Center. The facility includes a store, conference room, offices, a darkroom, rest rooms, a parking lot, and is accessible from Leo Harris Parkway.
Cuthbert Amphitheater
Seats 5,000 Every summer, a variety of concerts are held that feature nationally known vocal artists.
