Bohemia Mining District is the site of a mid-ninteenth century gold rush. The district features covered bridges, abandoned mines, and ghost towns, which can be toured by vehicle. There is also an extensive exhibit on the Bohemia Mining District in the Cottage Grove Museum. Check with the Cottage Grove Ranger Station (541-942-5591) before visiting the District, as it is important not to trespass on the active mining claims that still exist in the area.
