Central Oregon Community College, the oldest community college in the state, began serving students in 1949. Located in Bend, the college serves a 10,000 square mile district. The college provides comprehensive course work at the freshman and sophomore levels for students who plan to transfer into four-year programs, as well as training and retraining programs for those who seek direct employment opportunities.
