Dallas is located in
Polk County (of which is the county seat), lies west of
Salem, between
Rickreall and and Falls City, off of Hwy 223.
This community was settled in the 1840's and incorporated in 1874, Dallas was named for George Mifflin Dallas, U.S. vice-president under James K. Polk. The town features many historic buildings, and the Delbert Hunter Arboretum and Botanic Garden feature native plants. Dallas also offers easy access to mountains, Pacific Ocean, major cities and an international airport.
