Glendale is located in Douglas County, south of Grants Pass, between Canyonville and Sunny Valley, situated 4 miles to the west of Interstate 5. This community is also positioned along the banks of Cow Creek. The town was built around timber and railroading, and that economic factor continues to this day with the largest employer being Superior Lumber. The City employs six, and contracts with a volunteer rural fire district, Douglas County Sheriff's Department for safety and emergency services. The quaint town has one main street, two grocery stores, a motel, post office, two restaurants, churches, dentist, doctor's office and various other family owned shops. A popular attraction for Glendale is the Cow Creek Historical Society. This organization is a place to learn about, and discuss, the history of the Cow Creek Valley and surrounding area. There is also a Glendale, Utah.
