A small park along the Luckiamute River six miles south of Monmouth, Sara Helmick State Park offers picnicking, fishing, and hiking. Two reservable picnic areas are available for groups up to 200. Electricity, water, picnic tables, and restrooms are provided at each site. Quality experiences await visitors to more than 200 state parks managed for the public by the Oregon State Parks.
