A fascinating little museum, The Hutson Museum features outstanding geological specimens of the Pacific Northwest, local history, Native Americans artifacts and dolls and memorabilia of the early settlers. The Mount Hood Railroad (tel. 800/872-4661; www.mthoodrr.com) offers a great way to see the Hood River Valley and Parkdale.

The museum is open April through October. Hours are Wed-Fri, 11-4 and Sat-Sun, 11-6. The Mt Hood Excrusion RR terminates at the museum.
