Portland Community College is composed of a five-county area--the Metropolitan Area Education District. It includes the school districts of Portland, Sauvie Island and Riverdale in Multnomah County; Lake Oswego in Clackamas County; St Helens, Scappoose and Vernonia in Columbia County; Newberg in Yamhill County; and all of Washington County.

PCC has two satellite Campuses: the Cascade Campus--part of a diverse urban neighborhood in North Portland and the Rock Creek Campus--located on more than 100 acres near Hillsboro in the heart of the metro area's high-tech corridor.

PCC has an enrollment of about 27,000 and offers 67 programs leading to Associates degrees. They also offer athletic scholarships in basketball.
