This primitive campground in the Deschutes National Forest has six sites for tents, trailers or RVs up to 22 feet. There is no potable water, but fire grills and picnic tables are provided. This free campground is open from April to late November and reservations are not accepted. It is located south of Bend on USFS Rd 1816 in a heavily logged area. The lava tubes nearby at Arnold Ice Caves are fun to explore. Horseback riding is also popular here. For more information, contact the Bend-Fort Rock Ranger District.
