Located in Carbon County, the 2,972-acre Beltzville State Park is developed around the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers flood control project, Beltzville Dam. Beltzville Lake is 949 acres with a shoreline of 19.8 miles. The park is located along the Pohopoco Creek with recreation areas around the lake.
The Lake is seven miles long and features fishing, swimming, water sports and unlimited horsepower boating. A hike along Wild Creek Trail leads to waterfalls and Sawmill Trail wanders through mature forests and by a lovely creek. Picnicking and fishing are the most popular activities at this park.
Beltzville is five miles east of Lehighton, just off of U.S. Route 209.
