Greenwood Furnace State Park covers 423 acres and was the site of an active iron furnace community from 1834 to 1904. The park is surrounded by an 80,000-acre block of the Rothrock State Forest.
Fifty-one forested tent and trailer campsites are open from the second Friday in April until the end of antlerless deer season in December. Forty-six campsites have either 30 or 50 amp electric service.
The entrance to the park is on PA Route 305; a 15-minute drive west of Belleville or a 35-minute drive southeast of State College.
