Lake Wallace is a public lake managed by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. A valid South Carolina Fishing license is required to fish this lake. The lake is located adjacent to a diversion canal that offers fishing, swimming, and water skiing. The lake encompasses 280 acres and offers Largemouth Bass, Bream, Blue Catfish, Shellcracker fishing. Trolling motors are only allowed on the lake. There is a boat ramp, fishing pier, and handicap access at the lake.
Located in the lush Pee Dee district near Bennettsville, this lake is the winter home to a large variety of birds including wild geese and swans. Facilities - apart from the nearby wildlife refuge - include areas for boating and skiing, fishing and swimming.
