Tripp Public Library, serving an area of 720 residents, has a collection of 11,500 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 23 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 54 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes. Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $600. Patrons make 1,470 visits annually, and check out materials 2,600 times. Forty-two percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
