Roxburghshire is a county in southeast Scotland in the southern uplands, bounded on the north by Selkirkshire, Midlothian, and Berwickshire, on the east and south by England, and on the southwest by Dumfriesshire. It covers an area of 666 square miles.

Most of the county is hilly, with the Cheviot Hills in the far south forming a large part of the boundary with England. The only lowlands are found in the north and east and along the river valleys. The county is drained primarily by the Tweed and its largest tributary, the Teviot.

The capital is Jedburgh. Other towns are Kelso and Hawick.

Rosburghshire was a part of Northumbria, passing to Scotland in the 11th century.
