8,240-acre Corps of Engineer lake, scenic, spreading among steep-shouldered evergreen hills. Public parks along shore offer camping/trailer areas, picnicking and boat ramps. Two yacht clubs, two marinas, a ski club and fishing groups schedule a number of activities. Fishing includes flathead catfish, largemouth, smallmouth and striped bass. In the Guadalupe River below anglers take in brown and rainbow trout. About 20 mile N of New Braunfels.
