Midway between Corpus Christi, the 25,733-acre reservoir on the Frio River has been heavily stocked with largemouth, striped and Florida bass, crappie, sunfish and channel, and blue catfish. Some 3,700 acres left uncleared ensured prime fish habitat. Nearby Three Rivers State Park provides camping, restrooms and picnicking. The townsite of Old Calloiham provides campsites, screened shelters, seven-lane boat ramp, rock jetty, fishing pier, and swimming area, plus fish-cleaning stations, trails and concessions.
