This museum is a must-see for early Texas history buffs. It occupies a former public school building constructed in 1927 and built on the site of the Chappell Hill Female College. Permanent exhibits portray the plantation economy, the Civil War period, the Reconstruction period, the two educational institutions which once existed in Chappell Hill, and the Polish immigration.
