This historic village, situated along the banks of the Brazos River, contains over 20 wood-frame buildings representing a Texas farming community of the 1890s. The buildings on the 13-acre site were originally located 45 miles north of Houston on the plantation ranch of Governor Bill and Vara Daniel. The open air museum is open throughout the year. Programs include a Pioneer Heritage Day in the spring, and a Heritage Harvest Festival in the fall.
