The park, located just northwest of Glen Rose in Somervell County, is a scenic park astride the Paluxy River. Deposits along the shoreline of an ancient sea have been eroded by the Paluxy River. The park contains some of the best preserved dinosaur tracks in the world. They are located in the riverbed. A portion of the Texas longhorn herd is found in the park.
