Fort Leaton State Historical Park

Five of the 23 acres in the park are the site of a pioneer trading post in Presidio County. In 1848, Ben Leaton built a fortified adobe trading post known as Fort Leaton. The park is now a day-use only facility and offers picnicking, guided tours and exhibits.

The park is located 4 miles southeast of Presidio on the River Road to the Big Bend (FM 170).
