George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston is one of three operated by the Houston Airport System, the others being Houston Hobby Airport and Ellington Field. The Houston Airport System is run by the City of Houston's Department of Aviation. Originally named Houston Intercontinental Airport when it opened in 1969, it was renamed in honor of former President George Bush.
