Mission Espiritu Santo de Zuniga

Search Goliad Texas

This church was established in 1749. The mission, one of the oldest and most successful in Texas, was to serve area Karankawa Indians: the Cocos, Copanes, and Cujanes. The reconstructed church is furnished in period; the workshop displays period craft materials. Guided tours are available. A museum recounts mission history.
