This church was established in 1749. The mission, one of the oldest and most successful in Texas, was to serve area Karankawa Indians: the Cocos, Copanes, and Cujanes. The reconstructed church is furnished in period; the workshop displays period craft materials. Guided tours are available. A museum recounts mission history.
