Located 12 miles east on SR 217. The canyon exposes geological formations more than 200 million years old; traces of pre-Pueblo inhabitants have been found. There are 16 miles of scenic drives, 20 miles of bridle paths (horse rentals are available) and 5 miles of hiking trails. A miniature narrow-gauge railroad, the "Sad Monkey", operates daily.
