Village Creek is a free flowing stream that rises near the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation and meanders in a southeasterly direction 69 miles to its junction with the Neches River. Village Creek State Park is on a thousand acres in Hardin County near the community of Lumberton, 10 miles north of Beaumont. The creek is very popular for canoeing. Other activities include camping, picnicking, swimming, hiking, fishing, nature study and bird watching.
