This museum was built to preserve Dutch heritage and is housed within a windmill, with 25 foot revolving blades. Artifacts dating from the city's founding are exhibited on three floors; mementos of famed Country Western singer Tex Ritter are also on display.

La Maison de Acadiens, a tribute to the early French settlers is also located on the premises.
